Go2Web20


Go2Web20 is a Web 2.0 tool directory. It is organized by tags, common terms given to describe the site. All one needs to do is click on the "tags" drop down menu. A list of tags, clouded for conviencence, will pop up. Click on the tag that bests describes the tool you are looking for. A list of icons will drop down of all the sites that have been tagged with that choice. Click on any icon and check out the site.


There is a lot of sites here and it may look intimidating to some. One does not need to look at everything. It is like a phonebook. Check out the sites you are looking for.

Bubbl.us


Bubbl.us is mindmapping/webbing/brainstorming/clustermap tool is very easy to use and makes a nice print off for students. After a simple signup process, students can create a bubble map. This program allows you to create multiple main topics and sub topics. Choose colours and easily move and connect bubbles.

Vocaroo


This new, incredibly easy podcasting web app. allow you to record and and email or embed almost intantly.  No sign up required!  Do not need to edit, adjust, add, subtract or multiply!  Just record, copy and paste or email.

I forsee myself using this in a number of ways.  Reading recordings.  Out of class discussions.  Blogging... and many more ideas pop into mind.

Photoblog



Photoblog is another blogging site. It's purpose is to display and share pictures. You can comment on others pictures and they can comment on yours. It is completely free. This would be a great way for an art class or artist to display their pictures or photographs. It could also be used in a photography class. You can summit pictures according to photoblog's themes or just simply blog about photos you have taken. When you summit a photo you can tag it according to the theme or content. You can search the tags for specific pictures.

This free open-source browser is designed for parents who care what there children are finding on the internet. Kidzui has a number of the new Web 2.0 applications like; youtube, social networking, and on-line gaming. However, the entire browser is pre-filtered and only allows child friendly material.Your child will recieve an avatar, digital cartoon image, as the first step to ensuring digital safety. They can change this image at anytime and add to it as well.
As is the case with any open-source, you may purchase more abilities. Those abilities will give you printable reports on where you child has been, how long and more. Check out this incredible idea of a browser.

Edmodo




Edmodo is a teacher-student designed backchatter.  However, it has SO much more to offer.  This realtively new tool allows teachers to create assignments that are electronically handed in, grading system, calendar, events, alerts and of course the student-to-student and teacher-to-student instant messaging.
